SAFE Volunteers Raise $10,000 for Sacramento PBS Station
SAFE staff recently helped raise $10,000 for Sacramento's PBS TV station KVIE — all in a single night of phone bank volunteerism.
Joined by SAFE President and CEO Henry Wirz, members of SAFE's executive team and staffers from SAFE's local Call Center rolled up their sleeves and pitched in to help. The eleven volunteers produced phenomenal results from one night of work, continuing SAFE's longtime commitment to KVIE. Wirz chairs KVIE's board of directors, and the credit union also underwrites the local documentary series ViewFinder.
Volunteer phone banks are pivotal to the success of KVIE's on-air membership drives. Groups such as SAFE help KVIE keep their commitment to produce and broadcast insightful programs that enrich the lives of thousands of viewers throughout California's Central Valley.
