SAFE VP Receives FBI InfraGard Award
SAFE Vice President Joel Stuckey was recently honored by the FBI for his community service through InfraGard. Sacramento FBI Special Agent in Charge, Herb Brown honored Joel with an Award Certificate for Exceptional Service to the Public Interest signed by FBI Director Robert Mueller, for his exceptional volunteer work with the organization.
InfraGard members are connected to a national network and communicate with federal law enforcement and government agencies through their local InfraGard chapters, and contribute to the security and protection of our national infrastructure from threats and attacks. Joel has been an InfraGard member since 2006, serving as Sector Chief for the Financial Services Industry. As a Community Liaison Officer, Joel’s responsibility is to connect regional financial institutions to Homeland Security. He works with bank and credit union security managers to share information such as robbery alerts.
InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector. The goal of InfraGard is to promote ongoing dialogue and timely communication between businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants and the FBI. InfraGard members gain access to information that enables them to protect their assets and in turn give information to government that facilitates its responsibilities to prevent and address terrorism and other crimes. By sharing information and intelligence, InfraGard members help to prevent hostile acts against the United States.
