SAFE CU DREAMS BIG AT CALIFORNIA CAPITAL AIRSHOW
Sacramento, Calif. September 26, 2011 –On September 10 and 11, SAFE's exciting attraction helped California Capitol Airshow attendees "dream big." The world-class event brought tens of thousands of visitors the thrill of aerial acrobatics, the rich history of vintage aeronautics, and all the marvels of flight.
SAFE's booth was a massive presentation which included an oversized custom moonscape banner, P-51 Mustang and F-16 Flying Falcon interactive exhibits, displays from the Aerospace Museum of California, and fun kids' activities. In addition to games and prizes, SAFE representatives treated visitors with a chance to pilot one of four flight simulators.
"At SAFE, we're inspired by the boundless potential for the growth and advancement of our region. And, we are proud supporters of local organizations like the Aerospace Museum of California, and exciting events like the Airshow, that engage imagination, encourage creativity, and provide valuable resources to our community," said Paul Hersek, SAFE VP of Marketing.
The day prior to the Airshow, children from the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Sacramento and Northeastern California, UCP of Greater Sacramento, UC Davis Children's Hospital, and Saint John's Shelter Program for Women & Children, were treated to a special private event. More than 600 attendees, including sick and injured children and their families, enjoyed food, entertainment, a complete Airshow performance, and a meet-and-greet with aerial celebrities. In addition to sponsoring the event, SAFE led the steering committee which coordinated 100 volunteers to help make the day possible.
