Benefits

Primary Medical Insurance

Our employees’ health and wellbeing are important to us, and to help them live their best lives possible, we offer medical plans with Western Health Advantage, Sutter Medical Group, and Kaiser Permanente to meet their diverse needs. SAFE offers several high deductible plans that come with health savings accounts. We also offer a traditional HMO with Kaiser.


Supplemental Insurance

To help our employees be ready for any future health challenges, we offer voluntary short- and long-term disability, voluntary hospital, voluntary accident, and critical illness plans.

SAFE provides no-cost dental coverage to employees through Delta Dental. Employees may opt-in to cover family members for reasonable additional costs.

Our employees enjoy no-cost vision coverage through VSP, which helps cover eye exams, glasses, contacts, and more. Employees can add family members to the plan for reasonable additional costs.

As a financial institution, we believe that planning for a financially secure future is essential to help our employees build financial freedom. We offer a 401(k) retirement plan with a generous employer match that starts with employees’ very first contribution, which they may begin the first month after 60 days of employment. SAFE also offers a discretionary, annual profit-sharing match to 401(k) accounts.

Health Savings Accounts

Having money at hand to pay for unexpected health care costs can bring peace of mind. That’s why we provide above-market contributions to employees’ health savings accounts for those in high-deductible plans. Our health savings accounts are handled through Health Equity.


Flexible Spending Accounts

Employees can set aside tax-free funds to pay for day care and medical expenses through Dependent Care and Medical Reimbursement, and Limited Medical Reimbursement accounts.


Life and AD&D Insurance

For additional peace of mind, SAFE provides life and ADD insurance at no cost for employees, with an option for employees to purchase additional insurance through Reliance Standard.


Employee Assistance Programs

Sometimes we all need extra help to get through a problem. We make sure our employees have access to the help they may need through this no-cost program offering services such as legal, financial, work-life, assessment, and referrals through Curalinc.


Paid Time Off

SAFE is committed to assisting our employees achieve a healthy work-life balance. To help our employees recharge and take quality time for themselves, we offer paid time off to both full- and part-time employees working more than 20 hours a week.


Wellness Program

The well-being of our employees is foremost in our workplace culture. From team events to healthy recipe swaps and so much more in between, SAFE offers a robust wellness program run by our employee-led Wellness Committee with assistance from our medical plans.
