Apply for a Grant

Grants are awarded four times a year, with each cycle tailored to meet evolving community needs.

Q1 Grant Cycle: Financial Literacy & Stability

Having healthy financial habits is essential to building financial freedom. Fortunately, people can develop those habits starting at any age, from childhood to retirement. SAFE Credit Union actively supports financial literacy in the community, focusing its philanthropic efforts on nonprofits in the greater Sacramento area that provide programs that promote healthy financial practices.

SAFE will award a $20,000 grant to a nonprofit that works in underserved communities to equip them with the financial education tools necessary to build secure futures.

Receiving applications January 5 - February 2, 2026.
