SAFE CU Promo Video Takes Top Award

Folsom, Calif. – (Aug. 5, 2022) – SAFE Credit Union’s promotional video featuring small business owners recently took home a 43rd annual Telly Award.

The “Rising Together” branding and advertising campaign earned a 2022 Silver Award for Sacramento-based advertising company un/common. The 2021 video campaign featured local business owners.

The national Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television advertising across all screens. Un/common’s entry won the Silver Award in the general and local TV categories.

“We wanted to evolve our campaign to include our members – whom we are committed to treating as important individuals in our communities,” says SAFE Credit Union Vice President of Marketing Amber DiBernardo. “Un/common was able to achieve that goal and made it better than we could have imagined by incorporating personalities and passion.”

Un/common Partner and Creative Director Brantley Payne says the video reflects the authentic intentions of the credit union.

“With the video and campaign, SAFE was really making a stand to support small businesses and restaurants in the midst of the fallout from the onset of COVID-19,” Payne says. While un/common has received Telly Awards in the past, Payne says the more-coveted Silver Award, “tells me that the work really resonated and was seen as it was, a genuine reflection of SAFE’s commitment to the business owners.”
