Funding Opportunities

Apply for a Grant

SAFE distributes funding to local nonprofits through a competitive grant process. Funding takes place three times a year as we focus on one of our three philanthropic pillars.

First grant cycle

As a credit union whose field of membership began over 80 years ago by serving the civilians at what became McClellan Air Force Base, we are honored to serve those who serve our country. The pathway to success from military service to a civilian is workforce development. SAFE will proudly grant up to $20,000 to organizations whose programming promotes success in career training for veterans.
Receiving applications February 1-28

Second grant cycle

The strength and vitality of our region are of immeasurable value to SAFE. Funding programs based on health and wellness ensures that we are at the forefront of supporting our health care systems and the members of our community.
Receiving applications April 1-30

Third grant cycle

SAFE will fund up to $20,000 to an organization with programs that focus on financial wellness and that promote financial capabilities within our community. Programming should include quality education, raising awareness, and developing clear revenue models so the program can continue to help people for many years to come.
Receiving applications July 1-31
