FOLSOM, Calif. – (Oct. 11) – SAFE Credit Union was named the No. 1 Best Place to Work, Very Large Employer, in the Sacramento Business Journal’s 2018 Best Places to Work awards.

Each year the Sacramento Business Journal surveys employees in the Greater Sacramento area about work-life balance, benefits, leadership, and culture at their companies. SAFE employees cited benefits such as the Baby at Work program that allows parents
to bring babies up to 6 months old to work; generous benefits packages; and a commitment to work-life balance.
Employees also noted the credit union’s supportive and family-oriented culture as a highlight of working for the company. That culture has long been fostered at SAFE, Roughton said.

SAFE has nearly 700 employees who work at its 22 service centers and headquarters in Folsom. This year’s honor comes after being named one of the Healthiest Employers by the Sacramento Business Journal in 2017.
