SAFE Credit Union Awards $10,000 in Scholarships

Folsom, Calif.  – (May 17, 2022) – For the 22nd year, SAFE Credit Union shared its commitment to improving the lives of its members through education by awarding $10,000 in scholarships.

The SAFE scholarship committee chose 10 graduating high school seniors from El Dorado, Sacramento and Sutter counties to each receive a $1,000 scholarship.

SAFE Scholarship Winners

“Congratulations to our scholarship winners,” says SAFE Credit Union Community Impact Specialist Brit Kelleher. “We are so glad and proud to be able to support you in your journey to further your education.”

This year’s winners include:

  • Araceli Robles, West Campus High School
  • Kylynn Mireles, Rex and Margaret Fortune Early College High School
  • Audrey Mininger, St. Francis High School
  • Hannah Leigh, Cornerstone Christian School
  • Sydnie Lerwill, Sutter Peak Charter Academy
  • Taylor Holmgren, Folsom High School
  • Desiree Euler, Center High School
  • Kyla Menefee, Monterey Trail High School
  • Joshua Meade, Union Mine High School

“Each scholarship award represents SAFE’s commitment to its three pillars of philanthropy: veterans, education, and healthcare,” adds Kelleher.

Scholarships were awarded based on grade point average, financial need, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement.
