In 2019, SAFE Credit Union announced its 25-year, $23 million commitment and investment into the Sacramento’s SAFE Credit Union Convention & Performing Arts District.

“SAFE engaged in the project to help drive economic benefits to the region through increased visitor attraction and spending while supporting a healthier business and cultural community,” says SAFE Credit Union President and CEO Faye Nabhani. “It is rewarding to see how SAFE’s investment in supporting the district has brought so much economic and creative energy to the downtown area.”

In June, Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg announced plans for a new downtown convention hotel that would be connected to the SAFE Credit Union Convention and Performing Arts District.

“We were excited to learn about the likelihood of a nearby new hotel that will connect to the district and further boost the economy of downtown Sacramento and our region,” Nabhani says.

For the Nutcracker, Krutzkamp recommends audiences purchase Nutcracker tickets early as it is “one of Sacramento’s favorite holiday celebrations.” “Last year, Nutcracker performances played to sold out and capacity houses,” Krutzkamp says.
