For the third grant cycle this year, SAFE Credit Union invites our members and the public to help choose the next grant recipient. The top vote-getter will receive a $20,000 grant. Voting is open to everyone! Voting is completely anonymous, and we won’t collect any information about you. Voting is open from Monday, August 25, through Monday, September 8.

Breakthrough Sacramento, Fiscal Sponsor Community Initiatives Logo

Breakthrough Sacramento

Breakthrough Sacramento assists middle- and high-school students in under-resourced communities by providing tuition-free academic and college-prep programming. Students participate in the program year-round for six consecutive years. The program also seeks to develop future educators who reflect and empower their communities.

Funding from the grant would support Breakthrough Sacramento’s summer academic program with common-core aligned classes in literature, math, science and writing; career exploration workshops; tutoring; college application support; teacher development; and enrichment field trips.

California Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce Foundation Logo

California Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce Foundation

The California Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce Foundation (CalAsian Foundation) is dedicated to improving the lives of underserved and socioeconomically disadvantaged communities. It offers leadership and workforce development programs, training and support services for people impacted by hate crimes, alongside mental health and wellness.

Funding from the grant would support the NextGen Empower U Program which equips second-generation adults 18-25 with resources to thrive in adulthood, including mentorship, career readiness workshops, as well as financial literacy and life skills training.

Zion Girls Leadership and Collegiate Preparatory Academy Logo

Zion Girls Leadership and Collegiate Preparatory Academy

Zion Girls Academy seeks to empower young girls of incarcerated parents to overcome social stigma, engage with civic action and prepare for higher education and career success through faith-based mentorship, educational preparation, and civic engagement.

Funding from the grant would support the Crowned & Capable: Building Financially Free Futures program, which blends financial literacy with leadership development, higher education access, workforce exploration, and family engagement to prepare teen girls for successfully navigating adulthood.
