May 26, 2026

Folsom, Calif. (May 26, 2026) – SAFE Credit Union announced today that it has entered into partnerships with the A’s and Sacramento River Cats for the teams’ 2026 seasons that affirm the credit union’s commitment to supporting the region.

“It’s partnerships like these that show how Sacramento truly comes together to celebrate and get behind something so positive as America’s greatest past-time,” says SAFE Credit Union President and CEO Faye Nabhani. “SAFE’s partnerships with these two tremendous teams is a win-win for the region’s baseball fans, our members and the community at large. At SAFE, we like to show up to support organizations that unify our community and give us all something to cheer about.”

  • SAFE will host mascot appearances by Dinger and Stomper at its branches and events

“We’re thrilled to partner with SAFE Credit Union on a collaboration that celebrates community, connection, and the excitement surrounding baseball in Sacramento,” said Chip Maxson, President and COO of the Sacramento River Cats. “SAFE has long been a valued community leader, and this partnership creates even more opportunities to engage fans through unique ballpark experiences, community activations, and memorable moments throughout the season.”

The new collaboration between SAFE and the two ball teams is among the numerous ways SAFE directly supports the community, including public-private partnerships such as the naming rights sponsorship with the city of Sacramento for the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center and Performing Arts District, corporate partnerships, philanthropy, volunteerism, direct giving, and financial wellness services.

“For 86 years, SAFE has stood with the Greater Sacramento region as a trusted financial cooperative and highly engaged corporate citizen,” Nabhani says. “Through partnerships like these, we demonstrate that what matters to our members and the community matters to us, and we celebrate and cheer alongside them for our home-town teams.”

Providing exclusive benefits to SAFE members is a key part of the partnerships with the A’s and River Cats, says SAFE Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer Tiffani Vargas. “We are always looking for ways to help our members save more of their money and enjoy life,” Vargas says. “We’re very excited to be able to offer our members savings on tickets to major league games on Sacramento Saturdays and have some extra fun at River Cats games.”
