Sacramento, Calif. March 3, 2010 - The West Sacramento Chamber of Commerce and the City of West Sacramento recently presented awards to two exceptional SAFE Credit Union employees. On Tuesday January 19, 2010, SAFE Senior Mortgage Officer Lindsey Newell received an award for Volunteer of the Year for her selfless giving. West Sacramento Branch Manager Eric Rawlings was awarded Ambassador of the Year for his outstanding service to the Chamber and its members. In addition to receiving awards from the Chamber of Commerce, both received awards from Senator Lois Wolk, the State Senate, and the House of Representatives.

Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors are an elite group of volunteers who are committed to serving the West Sacramento Chamber’s Members by ensuring their needs, questions, and concerns are heard and addressed by the Chamber. Ambassadors play a vital role in the recruitment, retention, and orientation of Chamber Members. Lindsey has been an active Ambassador and volunteer since 2005. She is serving her second term as president of the Ambassador Committee. Eric has been an active Ambassador and volunteer since 2007. Through active participation in the Chamber, Ambassadors grow their communication and marketing skills and expand their business network.
