Q.  What is Enhanced Login Security?

A.

Enhanced Login Security (also called Multi-factor Authentication) is security technology that protects your accounts from unauthorized access by strengthening the security of your online banking session.

This free security feature gives you peace of mind by identifying you as the true "owner" of your accounts every time you login.  Not only will your password be recognized, your computer will be recognized as well.

If we don't recognize the computer you've logged in from, you will be asked to enter a one-time access code or provide answers to your preselected security questions. This additional layer of protection will defend against unauthorized access to your accounts.

Q.  How will it affect my Online Banking experience?

A. Once you complete the easy, one-time set-up process, the next time you log in from your computer, there will be no change in your experience.

Q.  Can I access my account from other computers at my home, my office, or on the road?

A.

Enhanced Login Security identifies you as the true "owner" of your accounts by recognizing not only your password, but your computer as well.

If we don't recognize the computer you've logged in from, you will be asked to enter a one-time access code or provide answers to your preselected security questions. This additional layer of protection will defend against unauthorized access to your accounts.

Enhanced Login Security is available at any computer you use, so you'll be protected whether at home or on the go. Always log off or close your browser window when you are finished with any secure online session (such as online banking).

Q.

How does Enhanced Login Security work?

A.

Enhanced Login Security offers three levels of security. The first requires you to enter a one-time access code. The second requires you to provide answers to your preselected security questions. The third relies solely on a cookie being successfully placed with your browser.

If you have Adobe Flash installed on your computer, the system will attempt to place a cookie within the Flash component in addition to the browser you are currently using.  The purpose of installing it within Flash is to prevent its deletion by various Spyware and Antivirus software packages. This is meant to offer an added convenience for you.

In addition, if you delete your cookies and then log back into the system, Flash will recognize the cookie is missing within your browser and reinsert it, thus enabling you to login to their account without answering security questions.
