There is a smishing (SMS text phishing) campaign circulating the Sacramento region. The text message claims to be from the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and attempts to solicit members to call a local phone number to provide their ATM card information (see example below). This communication is not from the NCUA. The NCUA, nor SAFE Credit Union, does not solicit financial or personal information through automated text messages.
