SAFE Named a Best Place to Work

Folsom, Calif. (Oct. 7, 2022) – The Sacramento Business Journal on Thursday named SAFE Credit Union a Best Place to Work in the Sacramento region for the fifth year in a row.

The publication announced the credit union as a Best Place to Work, Very Large Employer during the Best Places to Work Awards ceremony held at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Sacramento.

“This award signifies SAFE’s ongoing ability to pass Sacramento’s premiere employer litmus test determined by our very own employees,” says SAFE President, Chief Credit Officer and incoming CEO Faye Nabhani. “We are elated our employees’ work experience matches our own commitment to provide them with the very best resources and support to allow them to grow and conduct their work with the utmost fulfillment.”

SAFE Credit Union has been named a Best Place to Work, Very Large Employer, in The Greater Sacramento Region in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and now 2022 by the Sacramento Business Journal.

In determining the winners, the Sacramento Business Journal surveyed SAFE employees on the credit union’s benefits and career growth opportunities as well as how it promotes employee engagement and wellness.

SAFE offers its more than 750 employees with a robust benefits plan including a flexible work plan allowing back-office employees to work from home.

The credit union provides clear career pathways for branch and Contact Center employees who want to move into leadership roles as well as comprehensive training opportunities for employees to learn new skills and advance in their careers. Employees are encouraged to use 16 hours of paid time off to volunteer for the causes and people they care about in their own communities.
