SAFE Credit Union accepting applications for 2019 grants

FOLSOM, Calif. (Oct. 9, 2019) – SAFE Credit Union is accepting applications for the final phase of its 2019 grants program rewarding a total of $50,000.

SAFE focuses on three pillars in its philanthropic outreach: education; health; and current and former military personnel.

To be eligible to apply, nonprofits must meet the following requirements:

  • Have 501(c)(3) tax status
  • The program to be funded must be in one of the 13 counties SAFE serves: Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, El Dorado, Sutter, Butte, Nevada, Solano, San Joaquin, Contra Costa, Yuba, Amador, and Alameda.
  • The program to be funded must focus on education, health, or current or former military personnel.

    “SAFE Credit Union’s mission is to promote the vitality of our communities by supporting nonprofits who share that vision,” said SAFE Credit Union Community and Advocacy Engagement Manager Amanda Merz. “SAFE gives more than $300,000 a year to the community through grants, scholarships, and direct donations.”
